13th International Young Composers Forum

The 13th International Young Composers FORUM 2016 of the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, presented from 2 to 25 November 2016, is in full swing and we are very happy to welcome, for this 13th edition, the Turkish composer Alican Camci.

Come and discover the world of this young Turkish composer, as well as that of the 7 participating composers, during two concerts that will close the event on November 24th and 25th at 7:30 pm at Claude-Champagne Hall of the Université de Montréal .

The Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, under the musical direction of Lorraine Vaillancourt, is very pleased to offer all members of the Canadian Association of Turkish Professionals a personalized two-for-one offer that will allow them to attend, accompanied by their To the concerts that will close the event.

A native of Istanbul, ALICAN CAMCI studied composition with Michael Hersch at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, USA and is now pursuing his career with Anthony Cheung, Augusta Read Thomas and Martha Ptaszynska, University of Chicago. His catalog of works includes chamber music, orchestra, works for solo instruments and electro-acoustic compositions. Alican is interested in the existing crack between sound as an entity
